An exceptionally beautiful 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS, this time not in Ferrari red but in the subdued colour combination of Grigio Ferro (mid grey) with bordeaux leather which suits the car really well.
History:
This car has had only 2 private owners in the USA.
The car was produced in 1979 and was delivered in May 1980 by Ferrari Dealer Ferrari West in Monterey, California to its first owner Mr. R. Leventhal of Sun Vally, Idaho.
In 2007 the car was sold to Mr. Fred Vakili of Omaha, Nebraska through Ferrari dealer Ron Tonkin Gran Tursimo in Portland, Oregon.
In 2008 the car was sold to Holland by Classic Auto Sales in Omaha, Nebraska. The current owner bought the car in 2011 and because the paintwork was faded he decided to have the bodywork bare metal restored and repainted in the original Grigio Ferro.
Until now the car has been used sparingly and has only driven 18.320 miles from new!
During the body restoration the American side-lights were removed and the car was equipped with the stylish and slim European bumpers and European lights.
The beautiful original leather is in lovely condition and the original carpet is undamaged .
From the factory the car was equipped with the following options:
airconditioning, 16-inch rims and metallic paint.
This Ferrari is very well maintained and all the invoices for the work performed are available.
All original Ferrari factory documentation, including the rare service booklet in the Ferrari pouch, come with the car. The complete and unused jack and toolset are in the car. The original Salchi paint sticker is under the bonnet.
